Hynix to suspend U.S. production unit by September

SEOUL, July 24 (Reuters) - South Korean chipmaker Hynix Semiconductor Inc (000660.KS) said on Thursday it has decided to suspend production at its U.S. plant in Eugene, Oregon to improve efficiency.
Hynix said in a filing to the Korea Exchange that Hynix Semiconductor Manufacturing America Inc would stop all operations by the end of September. (Reporting by Cheon Jong-woo; Editing by Keiron Henderson)
