Cabela's posts lower quarterly net profit

SAN FRANCISCO, July 31 (Reuters) - Cabela's Inc (CAB.N) on Thursday posted lower quarterly net profit as a robust rise in revenue could not offset higher spending.

The outdoor gear retailer, which also sells apparel and equipment for outdoorsmen through its catalog, said second-quarter net income was $7.3 million, or 11 cents per share, down from $11.3 million, or 17 cents per share a year earlier. (Reporting by Alexandria Sage, editing by Phil Berlowitz)
