C.Agricole's Emporiki posts H1 loss of 15 mln euros

ATHENS, July 31 (Reuters) - Emporiki Bank CBGr.AT, a subsidiary of France's Credit Agricole (CAGR.PA), posted a first-half loss of 15.1 million euros ($23.59 million) on Thursday, hurt by lower margins and high loan provisions.

The bank said net interest income fell 12 percent year-on-year to 332.5 million euros. Emporiki made a 61 million euro profit in the first half of 2007. (Reporting by George Hatzidakis; editing by Daniel Flynn)
