Ericsson says wins order in Malaysia

STOCKHOLM, July 31 (Reuters) - Telecom equipment maker Ericsson (ERICb.ST) said on Thursday it won a two-year contract to expand a network for Telekom Malaysia (TLMM.KL) Ericsson, the world's biggest mobile network maker, said it will expand the operator's nationwide optical network in Malaysia.

"The contract is for the supply of an optical network based on Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) and Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technologies, and the provision of installation works and comprehensive maintenance services," Ericsson said in a statement.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
