Applied Biosystems to Webcast Presentation at the 3rd Annual Leerink Swann Roundtable Conference on August 7

Applied Biosystems Inc. (NYSE:ABI) announced today that it will
participate in the 3rd Annual Leerink Swann Roundtable Conference on
Emerging Products and Applications of Life Science Tools on Thursday,
August 7. Shaf Yousaf, Division President, MCB Genomic Analysis, will
discuss the Applied Biosystems SOLiD(TM) System for next-generation
genomic analysis and take questions from a Leerink Swann financial
analyst and attending investors. The live webcast is scheduled to
begin at 9:20 am ET. Immediately before his presentation Mr. Yousaf
also will participate in a panel discussion of emerging issues in
next-generation DNA sequencing.
