AUSTIN, Texas, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- THINK360, the exclusive provider of
the Desktop Channel Messaging and Profiling System, announced the formation of
an in-house agency to develop creative services for its growing client base.
Desktop Channel is revolutionizing the delivery of communication and digital
assets to the desktop without the drawbacks of e-mail or Internet browsers.
Nor does Desktop Channel have the security vulnerabilities of the Widget
platform as recently discussed in computer security trade publications.
Several Fortune 500 companies will announce contracts in the near future.
"A cutting-edge technology needs cutting-edge creative. That is why we put
this team together. This group is all about new media. Individually they have
achieved some of the highest accolades in the industry; collectively they are
a powerhouse," said Alan Elias, CEO of THINK360, an Austin, TX-based company.
Troy Hayes serves as the Chief Creative Director for THINKCreative, a
newly developed division of THINK360. He has originated numerous campaigns for
Bud Light, including well-known Super Bowl spots. Hayes was also a commercial
director for four years. He later became a partner at Cooper-Hayes, developing
campaigns for Sunglass Hut, Florida Lottery, and Carnival Cruise Lines. "There
has been an explosion of new media and technologies available for consumers to
get information, entertainment, and socially connect," says Hayes. "Messaging
is more fragmented than ever. The success of TiVo, YouTube, and Facebook show
the need for connection tools that fit into customers' lives not interrupt
them. This is the future of web communication and Desktop Channel is prepared
to bring consumers to the next level of engagement," he adds.
Troy is joined by writer Bob Merlotti. He composed the now famous tagline
"Did Somebody Say McDonald's?" in 1997. Merlotti also developed the Miller
Genuine Draft "Blind Tracks" online music campaign. Bob served as Executive
Creative Director of Grey LA, where he conceptualized and implemented
campaigns for BMW, Pedigree and other noteworthy brands. He led that agency
into the digital world, heading development for the office website and
spearheading BMW's online efforts. Bob notes Desktop Channel's diversity: "We
want to shake it up with new ways to engage targets. The idea of
information/entertainment 'anytime, anywhere' is exciting. Desktop Channel is
really a control tower through which any creative asset in any format can be
delivered. One day it may be a 3-dimensional billboard message; the next day
it may be flash video. The advertising and promotional capabilities are
limitless."
The team also includes Aarik Evanson, an acclaimed Flash Developer.
Desktop Channel allows any form of multi-media to be pre-downloaded in the
background and called up when the consumer wants it. Hayes states, "Aarik is
the genius behind many advertising agency and corporate sites. We have a fully
developed studio devoted to convergent media and we are ready to put our tools
and expertise to work for Desktop Channel." Aarik has created Flash work for
Dairy Queen, Dan Patrick and the St. Louis Rams.
The team is led by Joe Murphy, an advertising and promotion strategist in
both B-to-B and B-to-C industries. Murphy has held leadership positions in
consulting and promotion firms including Frankel, 141 Communicator,
McMillan/Doolittle and The Everest Group. "It's pretty easy to lead this
group; they are all strategists as well as creatives. As we collaborate with
clients and agencies, there's no doubt that Desktop Channel will break through
the white noise and provide innovative one-to-one communication," says Murphy.
"It's ideal for both internal and external audiences. In addition to promotion
and advertising, it can be used as a conduit for training, corporate messaging
and urgent announcements. The flexibility is impressive," he adds.
"That's just the beginning," says Elias. "The new products and services in
the pipeline are designed to take this to the next level." In other words,
"THINKMobile."
