MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Jul 31 (MARKET WIRE) --
MediSolution Ltd., (TSX: MSH) today announced the availability of an
innovative staff planning module for its Virtuo Human Capital Management
(HCM) Suite. The tool is fully compliant with the Quebec government's
Gestion previsionnelle de la main-d'ouvre provincial guidelines that
require healthcare centers to closely monitor staff movement through a
series of staff planning key performance indicators (KPI) and reports.

Understanding staffing and retirement trends has never been more
important for healthcare organizations grappling with a changing
workforce. Statistics Canada has forecasted that by 2015, population aged
45 to 64 will represent 48% of the working-age population, as compared to
35% today. By 2011, the labour force (as a percentage of the total
population) is expected to decline as an increasing number of baby
boomers enter retirement creating shortages of skilled and experienced
workers.(1)

In March 2008, the Ministere de la Sante et des Services sociaux (MSSS)
introduced a new by-law requiring all Quebec based healthcare
organizations to implement staff planning metrics and reports to monitor
staff movement and determine future staffing requirements over a three
year period to ensure adequate actions are taken to meet staffing
requirements from anticipated retirements and leaves. Eliminating costly
manual interventions, the staff planning solution automates the entire
process by extracting key data from any payroll and HR system, importing
it into the Virtuo Business Intelligence (BI) system and generating all
of the MSSS's required indicators and reports. Customers can leverage the
user-friendly web-based interface to monitor the KPI on a real-time
basis; identifying trends and analyzing periodical variances.

Leveraging Microsoft's cost-effective BI platform, the staff planning BI
solution provides healthcare organizations with the ability to manipulate
data and use OLAP cubes to drill down on specific data elements to
examine the underlying reasons for certain variances and other analytics
highlighted by the KPI and reports.

"Healthcare organizations that have implemented manual solutions are
finding it tremendously time consuming to take snapshots of their
staffing organizations on an annual or quarterly basis," said Paul
Lepage, CEO and President of MediSolution. "We listened to our customers
and as a result we have designed an evolving automated staff planning
solution that will empower our customers, help them meet and exceed the
MSSS requirements and realize estimated costs savings of one full-time
resource per year."

Recent customers that have placed orders and are poised to realize
significant benefits and cost savings from the staff planning module
include Centre Jeunesses des Laurentides, Centre de sante et de services
sociaux (CSSS) du Suroit, CSSS de Sorel-Tracy and Hopital Charles-Lemoyne.
