Sebastien Demers Takes Over the Reins at Komunik

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Jul 31 (MARKET WIRE) --
The Board of Directors of Komunik Corporation Inc. ("Komunik")(TSX: KOM)
announces that Sebastien Demers, who occupied the position of Chief
Financial Officer, will assume the role of President, effective August 1,
2008.

Alain Paquin, the current President of Komunik, has announced today his
decision to step down from his position but will stay on as Chairman of
the Board of Directors as well as remain active in key projects for the
company. He will also continue to be a major shareholder of the Company.

In 1997, Sebastien Demers and Alain Paquin created FokusGroup, a
consulting firm that specialised in interactive marketing and in
information technology. They eventually sold the firm in 2000 to a
company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. In 2002, Sebastien, still
in partnership with Alain, participated in the launch of Komunik, where
he managed the firm's financial operations and piloted numerous
acquisition projects.

Mr. Demers completed a MBA at Queen's University. He also obtained a B.A.
in Administration and a degree in Law from the University of Montreal. In
the business world, he is recognised as a top strategist and an
exceptional administrator. His expertise has been recognized with
numerous prizes, notably a Mercure and a first prize at the Electronic
Commerce Gala. After being a finalist in 2001 for the title of
Entrepreneur of the Year, awarded by Ernst & Young, he took home the
prestigious award in 2004 for his accomplishments at Komunik. He is a
member of the Quebec Order of Certified Management Accountants.
