CAMP HILL, Pa.--(Business Wire)--
Rite Aid drugstores are helping customers brush up on the basics
of good oral health care during August and September. All Rite Aid
stores will offer a free Oral Care Guide and Oral Care Tip Book to
educate customers on the importance of taking care of their mouths and
how oral health can impact a wide variety of health conditions.
The 11-page Oral Care Guide features advice on the right way to
brush, floss and rinse, as well as important information on
periodontal disease and a list of symptoms and risk factors that
indicate if you have or are at increased risk for the disease. A
special section contains information on how different medications as
well as what you eat and drink can impact the health of your mouth.
The Oral Care Tip Book offers advice on how proper oral care can
prevent and minimize the effects of serious health issues like
diabetes and heart disease and how conditions like pregnancy present
new challenges. Rite Aid pharmacists also are trained to offer
important, helpful and free information on proper dental care and
always are available to answer questions on keeping your smile vibrant
and healthy.
"Taking care of your teeth and gums is one of the best things you
can do for your overall well-being, so it's important that people of
all ages practice good oral care," said Mark de Bruin, Rite Aid
executive vice president of pharmacy. "The guide and tip book are
valuable resources and provide the basics of good oral care, brushing,
flossing and rinsing, which in turn can help keep your mouth and you
healthy for years to come."
Rite Aid's Oral Care program is part of its yearlong commitment to
health and wellness. Throughout the year Rite Aid pharmacies offer
special health condition programs that provide patients guidance on
topics such as diabetes management, weight management, heart health,
allergy awareness and skin care.
