Cogeco Cable Completes the Acquisition of Toronto Hydro Telecom

MONTREAL, QUEBEC, Jul 31 (MARKET WIRE) --
Cogeco Cable (TSX: CCA), the second largest cable operator in Ontario,
Quebec and Portugal based on the number of Basic Cable service customers
served, announced today that it completed the acquisition of Toronto
Hydro Telecom, the telecommunications subsidiary of Toronto Hydro
Corporation, announced on June 13, 2008. The new subsidiary of Cogeco
Cable will now operate under the name of Cogeco Data Services Inc.
