    Search Gainers:
"The Dark Knight" (#2) enters The Lycos 50 this week, becoming the
highest-ranking film to make the Lycos top search list since "The Matrix
Reloaded" hit number one on The Lycos 50 in May 2003. "The Dark Knight" is
the fourth most-searched film in the history of The Lycos 50 behind "Star
Wars: Episode II," "Spider-Man," and the "Matrix Reloaded." For a look back
at the biggest movies in Lycos 50 history, visit
http://50.lycos.com/052103.asp. Actor Christian Bale (#40) also makes his
first-ever appearance on this week's list, due in part to his starring role in
"The Dark Knight" as well as news surrounding allegations Bale assaulted his
mother and sister at a London hotel on June 20. In other rough and tumble
news, female brawls dominate the Movers and Shakers list this week. Race car
driver Danica Patrick gains 544 percent following an argument with another
female racer at the Honda-Indy 200 in Lexington, Ohio. Meanwhile, Wendy
Williams jumps 470 percent after an on-air altercation with TV reality star
Omarosa. Omarosa, who jumped into the national spotlight during the first
season of NBC's The Apprentice, recently appeared with Williams to promote her
upcoming book, The Bitch Switch, but instead spent more time trading insults
with the radio personality-turned-talk show host. And search activity for the
WNBA increases four-fold after a scuffle on the court between the Detroit
Shock and the Los Angeles Sparks. During the July 22 game at the Palace of
Auburn Hills, a fight broke out with 4.6 seconds left in the game. After the
dust cleared, Detroit's Plenette Pierson and assistant coach Rick Mahorn were
ejected, along with Los Angeles players Candace Parker and DeLisha
Milton-Jones.
