Red River Hosts Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Newly Established
Technology Scholarship

LEBANON, N.H., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Red River Computer Company of
Lebanon is pleased to announce our second annual charity golf tournament was a
great success. It was held at Lake Sunapee Country Club on July 10th. We were
able to raise $25,000.00 to benefit our new Technology Scholarship.
Red River strives to be more than just a local 8:00 - 5:00 business. It is
our mission to be an active participant in a community as a corporate citizen.
Our role in the community is particularly important to us as we prepare to
move our corporate headquarters to the City of Claremont. As a company and as
individual citizens, we are excited about playing a role in improving the
quality of the community in which we live and work. We understand that a
community is only as strong as its members and pro-active participation is the
critical component to a strong and vibrant society.
The Red River Technology Scholarship is designed to promote technology
knowledge, education and interest by encouraging local student participation
in technology-related subjects. The fund may encompass equipment donations,
curriculum development, or future scholarships for students with a desire to
pursue a technology-focused educational path. It is our ultimate goal to
expand this fund into an endowment that will benefit current and future
generations of children in the City of Claremont public school system.
The first two recipients of this scholarship are Stevens High School
graduates Daniel Decina and Ryan Cameron. They are both outstanding students
who are headed to college to study Computer Science. They were each presented
with a new Toshiba notebook computer and $1000.00. We wish them both well as
they venture onto college to further their studies in technology!
During attendance at the golf tournament scholarship fundraising event,
Stevens High School Principal Paul Couture noted his enthusiasm and
appreciation for "a program which supports students at the school with
scholarships and awards, supports the school through the company's philosophy
of forming an educational partnership with the community's educational system,
and supports the community by not only speaking about but also demonstrating
real commitment that makes a difference. The first opportunity to demonstrate
that commitment occurred before Red River had actually relocated. Can't get
better than that!"
Red River would like to thank all of the participants as well as our
biggest corporate sponsors: TD Banknorth, Hull Maynard Hersey Insurance, Arrow
ECS, Cleveland Waters Bass, Granite State Harley Davidson, Dell, and Comstor.
We are already looking forward to next year's event being an even bigger
success.
