Largest PC Manufacturer Offers 60-Day Trial of McAfee Total Protection Service
to Small Business Users
SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- McAfee, Inc.
(NYSE: MFE) today announced a worldwide agreement with HP to provide a 60-day
trial of pre-installed McAfee(R) Total Protection Software on select HP
commercial desktop computers and notebooks. The service, available
immediately, is designed for small business customers.

Total Protection Service from McAfee leverages the Software-as-a-Service
(SaaS) technology McAfee has used to protect small business customers for more
than nine years.
"Millions of HP small business customers worldwide who buy our commercial
line of computers will be protected out-of-the-box through the preloaded
McAfee security application, which can be upgraded at the end of a trial
period," said Rob Montgomery, director of business development for the Attach
business at HP. "Delivering the McAfee security solution protects small
business customers whether they are in the office or remote, from viruses,
spyware, phishing, hackers and identity thieves."
McAfee Total Protection Service provides smart, simple and secure
protection that automatically detects and blocks known and as-yet-undiscovered
threats to desktops, notebooks, emails and servers. Total Protection Service
provides automatic, real-time protection against viruses, spyware and hackers,
along with McAfee SiteAdvisor's advanced warning protection, which warns users
before they visit dangerous Web sites. The service also includes simplified
management through McAfee SecurityCenter, a Web-based management and reporting
console that centralizes all installations, configurations, reports and
updates, and creates multiple user groups.
