The Israeli Ministry of Health Elects Kamada to be the Exclusive Developer and Manufacturer of Snakebite Antiserums in Israel

WEIZMANN SCIENCE PARK, NESS ZIONA, Israel--(Business Wire)--
Kamada (Tel-Aviv:KMDA), a biopharmaceutical company (the
"Company"), (www.kamada.com) engaged in the development, manufacturing
and marketing of specialty life-saving therapeutics, announced today
that the Israeli Ministry of Health elected Kamada to be the exclusive
developer and manufacturer of snakebite antiserums in Israel.

The Israeli Ministry of Health will finance the entire project,
including the development, planning and production of the snakebite
antiserum and the establishment of an antiserum manufacturing
facility. The estimated cost is $5M, which will be paid in
installments to the Company throughout the duration of the agreement.
The project is subject to the signature of a final agreement and is
estimated to be completed within two years. After the completion of
the project, Kamada will manufacture the antiserum for the Ministry of
Health on an ongoing basis.

Prior to signing a final agreement, Kamada will begin the first
stages of development against an advance payment that will be
transferred to the Company by the Ministry of Health.

"This agreement signifies a high level of confidence of the
Israeli Ministry of Health in Kamada's ability to develop, manufacture
and market specialty life-saving therapeutics," said David Tsur,
Kamada's CEO. "The availability of snakebite antiserum in Israel is
critical. According to data published by the Ministry of Health,
hundreds of snakebites occur in Israel every year and treatment with
antiserum could save lives." Mr. Tsur also noted that "this project is
in line with our approved immunoglobulin products."

In Israel there are three prevalent families of poisonous snakes.
However, the bites of the Israeli Viper are the most significant, both
with respect to their incidence and clinical significance. Recently, a
number of fatal bites by this snake have been reported in the news.
