OVERLAND PARK, Kan., July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Embarq Corporation
(NYSE: EQ) announced today that its board of directors has declared a dividend
on the company's common stock. A dividend of $0.6875 per share is payable
Sept. 30, 2008 to stockholders of record at the close of business on Sept. 9,
2008.
