US STOCKS-Futures fall after GDP, jobless claims data
NEW YORK, July 31 |
NEW YORK, July 31 (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures fell on Thursday following lower-than-expected U.S. gross domestic product growth in the second-quarter and a jump in weekly jobless claims.
S&P 500 futures SPc1 erased early gains to drop 8.1 points, and below its fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract.
Dow Jones industrial average futures DJc1 lost 89 points and Nasdaq 100 NDc1 futures fell 9.0 points. (Reporting by Walter Brandimarte; Editing by Jonathan Oatis)
