NEW YORK, July 31 (Reuters) - Wyndham Worldwide Corp (WYN.N), which operates hotel chains and time-share businesses, said on Thursday that quarterly profit rose, helped by international revenues.

Second-quarter net income was $98 million, or 55 cents per share, up from $96 million, or 52 cents per share, a year earlier.

Excluding $4 million in an after-tax benefit connected to legacy items, Wyndham said adjusted profit was $94 million, or 53 cents per share, up 8 percent from $89 million, or 49 cents per share, a year earlier, also excluding items. (Reporting by Mark McSherry; Editing by Lisa Von Ahn)
