Apache says to restart partial Australia gas output

PERTH Aug 1 (Reuters) - U.S. energy firm Apache Energy Ltd (APA.N) said on Friday that it would resume partial gas production at its Varanus Island off Western Australia slightly ahead of schedule.

Apache said in a statement that an initial gas output rate of 110 million cubic feet (mcf) per day would be available to customers in "the next few days", ahead of a previous Aug. 15 estimate. (Reporting by Fayen Wong)
