California Pizza Kitchen Opens Third Location in South Korea

LOS ANGELES--(Business Wire)--
California Pizza Kitchen, Inc. (CPK) (Nasdaq:CPKI), home of the
Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and other innovative hearth-baked pizzas,
made-to-order pastas, creative salads, appetizers, soups, sandwiches
and desserts, opened its third location in South Korea today. The new
restaurant, opened by CPK franchise partner, Iris Company, is located
in Jung-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

The new restaurant seats approximately 170 people and is located
at Seoulsi Joongu Ulgiro, 2ga 198 bunji, in Myoungdong. As one of
Seoul's main shopping and nightlife districts, Myoungdong draws over
700,000 daily visitors, and is home to four of South Korea's largest
department stores including Lotte, Migliore, Avatar and Shinsegae.
Also known as the center of financial services and securities, several
major financial headquarters including Citibank, SK Corporation and
the Korea Exchange Bank are found in Myoungdong.

The CPK restaurant, tastefully decorated with warm colors and rich
textures, will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to
10:00 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The open-exhibition kitchen takes center stage where guests can
watch as all of California Pizza Kitchen's innovative dishes are
prepared. The menu features a wide variety of items including
everything from Avocado Club Egg Rolls and California Club Pizza to
Kung Pao Spaghetti and the award-winning Thai Crunch Salad. A special
menu is also available for children 12 and under.

Using only the highest quality fresh produce and U.S. imported
ingredients prepared daily, all California Pizza Kitchen pizzas are
hearth-baked in an imported open-flame pizza oven.
