PARIS Aug 5 (Reuters) - Air France-KLM (AIRF.PA), the world's largest airline by revenue, said on Tuesday that its average passenger loadings declined by 1.8 percentage points to 84.4 percent of capacity in July but the overall tone of its July traffic report was "good".

Finance head Philippe Calavia made the comments at a conference call with analysts. The July traffic figures are due for release on Thursday morning, he said.

"In view of modest growth of 3.9 percent, we have a weakening of the load factor of 1.8 points ... but we remain at 84.4 percent," he said.

The passenger load factor, an indication of seats filled as a proportion of available capacity was 86.2 percent in July 2007. (Reporting by Dominique Vidalon; Editing by Greg Mahlich)
