Fujitsu says in talks with SAP on ties in Asia

TOKYO Aug 5 (Reuters) - Japanese electronics conglomerate Fujitsu Ltd (6702.T) is in talks with German business software maker SAP (SAPG.DE) on expanding cooperation in Asia, Fujitsu President Kuniaki Nozoe told a news conference on Tuesday.

Fujitsu, which competes with International Business Machines Corp (IBM.N) and Electronic Data Systems Corp EDS.N, is looking for new revenue streams in its IT services business while trimming costs in its PC, hard drive and semiconductor businesses. (Reporting by Mayumi Negishi)
