Nordstrom Rack to Open at Orland Park Place in Orland Park, Illinois

SEATTLE, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc.
(NYSE: JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, announced it will open a
35,400-square-foot Nordstrom Rack, a unit of the company's off-price retail
division, at Orland Park Place in Orland Park, Ill., in spring 2009.

    Orland Park Place, owned by Inland Real Estate Corporation through a joint
venture, is the market dominant regional power center in south suburban Orland
Park, one of Chicagoland's fastest growing trade areas. The existing shopping
center, located at 153rd and LaGrange Road in Orland Park, encompasses over
599,000-square-feet of retail space, featuring premier national retailers and
restaurants, including: Bed, Bath & Beyond, Barnes & Noble, Dick's Sporting
Goods, Marshall's, Office Depot, Olive Garden, Sports Authority and many
others. Nordstrom Rack will open in the space formerly occupied by Wickes
Furniture.
    This will be the retailer's sixth Nordstrom Rack store in the greater
Chicago area. Nordstrom operates Rack stores at The Shops at State and
Washington in Chicago, Village Square in Northbrook, The Shops at Oakbrook
Place in Oakbrook, Woodfield Village Green in Schaumburg and a new store at
Springbrook Prairie Pavilion in Naperville is scheduled to open in fall 2008.
Nordstrom also operates four full-line stores in Illinois.
Nordstrom Rack is the company's off-price retail division offering savings
of 30 to 70 percent on apparel and accessories for women, men and children,
including one of the most extensive collections of name-brand shoes available.
Nordstrom Rack merchandise is made up of products from Nordstrom full-line
stores and the company's online store at Nordstrom.com, as well as special
purchase items.
