ATLANTA, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Kudzu.com announces the launch of Business
Networking, an easy way for local businesses to quickly recommend each other,
while providing another tool for consumers to select local service providers.
Over 13 million businesses are listed on Kudzu.com across the country, and six
million jobs were performed in 2007 because of the site.
"Have you ever asked your painter to recommend an electrician? With
Business Networking businesses can endorse others who meet their professional
standards," said Vice President of Marketing & Business Development Rachel
Spasser. "This provides more business for companies that have established a
good reputation among their peers, while giving customers an added reference
point to figure in to their selection process."
Business Networking creates more jobs for small businesses who are
utilizing their contacts as an additional networking resource. Once a small
business recommends and connects with another company, the referral is
automatically listed on both companies' Kudzu profiles. Consumers benefit by
having a list of pre-qualified people who have been suggested by someone they
already trust, creating a strong, competent referral base.
"Other than advertising, businesses have largely been on the sidelines on
most local review sites," said Greg Sterling, principal, Sterling Market
Intelligence. "This gives them a new opportunity to insert themselves more
directly into the business selection process and have a larger influence over
consumer decision-making."
Kudzu is providing resources to consumers through comprehensive business
profiles including pictures, videos, credentials, consumer reviews and now the
Business Networking endorsements.
