Free Service Can Fill Positions at Over 4,300 Charter Schools

WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Starting today, operators of the
nation's more than 4,300 public charter schools and professionals seeking to
teach, lead and assist more than 1.3 million students in those schools have a
powerful new on-line tool connecting them: the free Public Charter Schools Job
Board at http://jobs.publiccharters.org/.

The new online job board is intended to be the most comprehensive, easy-to-use
tool matching highly-skilled professionals and highly-rewarding jobs in
charter schools, support organizations, authorizers and other employers
throughout the charter school community.

"Whether you're a professional looking for the right charter school position
or a charter school looking for the right professional, the Public Charter
Schools Job Board is the first place to look," said National Alliance for
Public Charter Schools president and CEO Nelson Smith. "The site is free to
both employers and potential employees, and it is exceptionally easy to post a
job or a resume."

The free site enables employers and job seekers to go online and create their
own user name and password. Employers can then post jobs, review candidate
resumes, manage applications, and receive candidate updates by e-mail. Job
seekers can create an online resume, receive e-mail updates of new job
postings, and tailor their search by title, classification and location.

As a special bonus to kick off the free new employment service, the first 100
employers and first 100 job-seekers registering on the Public Charter Schools
Job Board will be automatically entered into a drawing to win one of six $50
gift certificates for Starbucks or Amazon.com.

The National Alliance for Public Charter Schools (www.publiccharters.org) is
the national nonprofit organization committed to advancing the charter school
movement. The Alliance works to increase the number of high performing
charter schools available to all families, particularly low-income and
minority families who currently do not have access to quality public schools.
The Alliance provides assistance to state charter school associations and
resource centers, develops and advocates for improved public policies, and
serves as the united voice for this large and diverse movement.
