Globecomm Systems $9.0 Million Infrastructure Contract from GCI

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--(Business Wire)--
Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a leading provider of
satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services
on a global basis, announced today that the Company has been awarded
an infrastructure contract from General Communication Inc. (NASDAQ:
GNCMA), an Alaska-based company providing voice, video and data
communication services to residential, commercial and government
customers, valued at $9.0 million.

   On June 4, 2007, the Company announced a contract with GCI valued
at $20.7 million to provide wireless phone services to 200 rural
villages throughout Alaska.

   Pursuant to this contract, Globecomm will provide sixty-nine
shelters to be utilized in concert with the installation of certain
sites under the previously announced contract. Each of the shelters
will be outfitted with DC power restoral systems. Forty-four of the
shelters will be outfitted with C-Band satellite subsystems with the
remaining twenty-five being outfitted to support terrestrial
communications.
