Excel Telecommunications Unveils New 1+ Hand-Back Product Enabling Greater Business Flexibility, Cost Savings for Carriers

DALLAS--(Business Wire)--
Excel Telecommunications today announced that they will unveil a
new product offering "1+ Hand-Back," a wholesale service for 1+
origination. Excel will utilize its nationwide Primary Interexchange
Carrier "PIC" network to originate 1+ and hand back the traffic to
wholesale partners.

1+ Hand-Back is designed for carriers looking to enhance their
product suite with U.S. 1+ origination. Excel's partners can now offer
their end-users the ability to PIC Excel's network for direct 1+
dialing to access their network. 1+ Hand-Back provides a cost
effective alternative for originating customer calls and can
complement or eliminate other access application like Toll-Free and
Dial-Around (1010). Partners can choose to PIC the ANIs of their
end-user or elect Excel's internal customer care to perform the
function.

"Given recent turmoil in the US 1+ marketplace and the size and
breadth of the Excel network, we view this product launch as an
opportunity to capture a large underserviced portion of the market,"
said Patrick Hannon, Senior Vice President, Sales.

   Excel's 1+ Hand-Back product can accompany Excel's Wholesale
Termination for an end-to-end switchless solution. Our switch-based
partners can interconnect utilizing traditional TDM or VoIP circuits.

Said CEO James Cashiola, "1+ Hand-Back gives our carrier partners
yet another opportunity to generate new revenue and broaden their
services portfolio. We've made the delivery process easy, producing a
business model that we expect many of our partners will use as a tool
for growth."
