Pepco Energy Services Hires John Glynn as Regional Energy Manager for its New
England Business

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pepco Energy Services, a
subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: POM) and a leader in energy and
energy-related services, is pleased to announce today that John Glynn has
joined the company as Regional Energy Manager to enhance its expansion into
the New England energy market.

Services' team.  His breadth of knowledge and experience in both electric and
natural gas in the New England energy market will be instrumental to our

    Prior to joining Pepco Energy Services, Glynn lead Direct Energy's direct
sales force for US North and was responsible for negotiating large
aggregation, governmental, commercial and industrial contracts.  With over 25
years in the energy business, Glynn has held management, sales and consulting
positions at Select Energy and Connecticut Light & Power, playing a key role
in the success of Select Energy prior to its sale to Hess.
    Glynn is a native of Marlborough, CT and a graduate of Central Connecticut
State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
