Greenberg Traurig Lawyer Michael Wallander to speak at "Green Inside Out: A Symposium on Sustainability and Innovation"

Greenberg Traurig LLP announces attorney Michael Wallander will
speak at a symposium led by visionaries in the fields of environmental
law, community planning, natural capitalism, and low carbon business
practices. The event, scheduled in Miami on August 28th, is presented
by Climate Culture, Inc., a sustainability consulting boutique founded
last year to help individuals, companies and organizations cultivate
the processes, approach, and culture for social and environmental

Wallander is a corporate and securities attorney with experience
in sustainability. A member of the firm's Climate Change, Carbon
Credits, and Green Building and Sustainable Development groups,
Wallander will present the legal and policy innovation needed to clear
the way for sustainability. He regularly assists governmental clients,
non-profit organizations and public and private companies ranging from
start-ups to Fortune 100 companies with corporate and environmental
strategy.

Wallander is a frequent speaker at conferences on the subject of
the carbon markets. He has been at the forefront of efforts to
integrate sustainability concepts within various types of market-based
incentive regimes. He has been interested in the subject of
sustainability for many years. After finishing law school at the
University of Pittsburgh, Wallander pursued an advanced LL.M. degree
from Georgetown University Law Center where the subject of his thesis
was the treatment of corporate sustainability reporting under the
federal securities laws.

Wallander serves as vice chair for the American Bar Association
Section of Environment, Energy and Resources Committee on Innovation,
Management Systems and Trading. Wallander founded the Palm Beach
chapter of Green Drinks, an international environmental networking and
education nonprofit organization. He is a member of the Leaders
Circle; United Way of Palm Beach County; the Florida Bar Association;
Pennsylvania Bar Association; and the Palm Beach County Bar
Association.
