Northland Appoints Deborah Craig Vice President, Strategic Development

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Aug 05 (MARKET WIRE) --
Mr. Bill Wagener, the COO of Northland Resources Inc. (NRI) (TSX:
NAU)(FRANKFURT: NBS)(OSLO: NAUR), is pleased to announce the appointment
of Ms. Deborah Craig to the position of Vice President, Strategic
Development for NRI's subsidiary, Northland Resources AB (NRAB).

Ms. Craig will undertake various initiatives on behalf of senior
management, including managing the European investor relations function,
and assisting with financing initiatives. Ms. Craig is resident in
Stockholm, and will work from NRAB's Stockholm and Lulea offices.

Mr. Wagener commented, "Deborah has over 15 years of mining industry
experience, and has worked with companies listed on both the Toronto and
Oslo stock exchanges. We are pleased to bring onboard someone with
Deborah's experience to help us effectively communicate our progress to
the European market. Deborah's background in project finance and
financial management is also of great value to us as we develop the
financing strategy for our projects."

Ms. Craig has most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Oryx
Mining and Exploration Ltd., a private Vancouver-based exploration
company with projects in Africa. Prior to that she worked closely with
the Stockholm-based mineral economists, Raw Materials Group, and is a
former Vice President of the Oslo-listed exploration company
International Gold Exploration (IGE) AB. Ms. Craig began her career in
corporate banking, where she specialized in the financing of natural
resource projects. Ms. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the
University of Toronto.
