Applied Discovery(R) Services Rated Tops in E-Discovery Survey for 4th Consecutive Year
2008 Socha-Gelbmann Survey Shines Light on Company's Experience
and Depth of Solution
BELLEVUE, Wash.--(Business Wire)--
LexisNexis(R) Applied Discovery(R), a leader in comprehensive
electronic discovery products and services, today announced that its
award-winning e-discovery platform, used by corporations and law firms
nationwide to review data for complex discovery matters, was ranked in
the top five in 10 of the 13 service categories ranked in the 2008
Socha-Gelbmann survey. This is the fourth consecutive year that
Applied Discovery has been singled out from a field of over 600
organizations and recognized as the best of the best. The
Socha-Gelbmann survey gathered more than 350 qualitative and
quantitative measures to rank supplier services and software in a
variety of categories. Interestingly, 'data collection, processing and
review services' were rated greatest in demand by corporations, law
firms and providers alike. This need reinforces Applied Discovery's
recent 10 million dollar hosting center upgrade investment made over
the past 12 months that enables even faster collection, review and
processing.
David A. Weber, Applied Discovery Vice President, Marketing stated
the importance of the company's top rankings in this highly regarded
industry report, "As an organization providing a complete end-to-end
solution, ranking top five in so many e-discovery service categories
reinforces our ability to perform at the highest level in a variety of
areas, while offering the broad selection of capabilities clients
need." The survey revealed that one of the greatest concerns in the
industry is dealing with inexperienced providers. Relative to that
issue Weber noted, "Fortunately as an early e-discovery industry
pioneer established in 1998, Applied Discovery has a long standing
record of innovation, success, awards and year-over-year top service
rankings to instill the level of confidence and experience that
clients need."
The survey also highlighted process control as one of the top
three e-discovery objectives for corporations. Applied Discovery is
well-positioned to address this need with the recently announced
upgrades to its e-discovery platform. These included an even more
robust Online Review Application (ORA) that includes advanced review
management capabilities, offering the tools needed to streamline the
review process. Other advancements included improvements to workflow,
batching and search performance, in addition to the turnaround time
and security improvements gained as a result of the 10 million dollar
hosting center upgrade investment made over the last 12 months.
