awarded, the halfway point has been reached in American Greetings Corporation
(NYSE: AM) sweepstakes, "Sounds Funny to Me." Through August 31, 2008,
consumers can go to www.americangreetings.com/retailers, create an account,
and log in daily for the chance at either a $100 gift card to their favorite
retailer, or a $10 gift card to be used at iTunes(R).

One winner per day is awarded a $100 retail gift card, and five iTunes(R)
gift cards are distributed per day. Consumers not taking home either of the
top two prizes can download a special card coupon good for their favorite
American Greetings cards retailer. Consumers can log in daily, but are only
eligible for one prize per day.
This sweepstakes introduces the newest line of funny cards from American
Greetings. This summer's card aisle is sure to have something everyone, as
highlights include new licenses such as South Park and Family Guy, fresh
offerings that find the humor in the real-life situations and new political
humor cards that take a light hearted look at the upcoming election.
In addition to the daily prizes, consumers can also send a free funny
