SALT LAKE CITY--(Business Wire)-- In an effort to lower costs and simplify benefit packages for customers, SelectHealth is now offering dental insurance. The new dental plans for small and large employers will be effective January 1, 2009. The dental products will be available with SelectHealth medical plans or on a stand-alone basis. All Utah dentists have been invited to apply and participate in SelectHealth's open provider network. "We think both members and dentists alike will appreciate this dental insurance option," said Sid Paulson, president and CEO of SelectHealth. "Receiving medical and dental coverage from one company makes it easier for our customers. Dentists will receive fast, direct payment and access to a local Provider Relations team," he said. "This is another step in striving to help our members with straightforward, affordable coverage options and access to high-quality care," added Paulson. SelectHealth's new plans are flexible, competitively priced, and allow access to any dentist. For more information, call 800-442-8493 or visit www.selecthealth.org/dental.
