CommNexus GadgetFest 2008 - Call for Applications

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CommNexus is now accepting
applications for GadgetFest 2008 on October 23, 2008, an annual showcase for
the tech industry's newest gadgets, applications, and software. CommNexus, a
nonprofit network of communications companies, organizes the annual
GadgetFest, which will include a mini CES-style electronics tradeshow followed
by a competition for "Greatest Gadget." The application period is open from
July 25 - October 10, 2008.

GadgetFest mini-tradeshow gives you the opportunity to showcase your company's
latest technologies, as well as network with industry representatives from all
parts of the globe. Over 500 technology representatives will attend this to
announce their new gadget pre-CES; so make sure to reserve a booth as soon as
possible!

The tradeshow is followed by a competition for Greatest Gadget, where up to 12
companies will be selected to give an on-stage presentation of their
technology to an audience of over 500 VCs, entrepreneurs, and technologists.
Our esteemed panel of judges will offer their questions, comments and advice,
and will narrow the competitors down to the top four. Audience members will
then select the "Best in Show" award, the "Best Hardware" award and the "Best
Software" award.

Who Should Apply? Anyone in the technology industry may apply to be a part of
the tradeshow, and up to 15 companies will be selected to participate. If you
have a new, innovative technology, you are eligible to apply for the Greatest
Gadget competition. A CommNexus committee of technology experts and industry
leaders will do a rigorous screening of competition applicants and will select
the finalists who will compete the day of GadgetFest.

There is no charge for submitting nominations. Applications must be submitted
online at www.commnexus.org. CommNexus' GadgetFest 2008 will take place at
Qualcomm's state-of-the-art Irwin M. Jacobs Auditorium on Thursday, October
