Russian bomb hits Georgia town, at least 2 dead-witness

GORI, Georgia Aug 9 (Reuters) - A Russian warplane dropped a bomb on an apartment block in the Georgian town of Gori on Saturday, killing at least 2 people, a Reuters reporter said.

The reporter in Gori, a town close to Georgia's embattled breakaway province of South Ossetia, saw a five-storey building hit by a bomb after heavy Russian air raid. He saw two dead bodies and at least three injured carried away by soldiers. (Writing by Oleg Shchedrov)
