LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Following are the top 10 films at the North American box office for the weekend beginning on August 8, led by "The Dark Knight," according to studio estimates compiled on Sunday by Reuters.

"Pineapple Express," "Step Brothers" and "Hancock" were released by Columbia Pictures, a unit of Sony Corp.

"The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" and "Mamma Mia!" were released by Universal Pictures, a unit of General Electric Co's NBC Universal.

"Swing Vote" was released by Touchstone Pictures and "WALL-E" by Walt Disney Pictures, both units of Walt Disney Co.
