IAC says split up to occur on August 21

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Internet conglomerate IAC/InterActiveCorp (IACI.O) on Monday moved ahead with plans for splitting up the company, saying spin-offs of its divisions would occur on August 21.

IAC, run by media veteran Barry Diller, plans to spin off its HSN cable shopping network, Ticketmaster box office service, Interval time-share network and LendingTree mortgage broker into four companies that each would trade on the Nasdaq.

Before that, the company said that "when issued" trading for the companies would begin when the market opens August 12.
