China Mobile to launch 3G services in June 09

HONG KONG Aug 27 (Reuters) - China Mobile (0941.HK)said on Wednesday it would launch China's home-grown third generation network services in 38 cities at the end of June 2009.

Its state-owned parent has invested 15 billion yuan ($2.19 billion) to build TD-SCDMA networks in 10 cities and will extend coverage to another 28 cities in the second phase, Chairman Wang Jianzhou told reporters.

The company expects to maintain its EBITDA margin in the second half at the first half's level. ($1=6.849 Yuan) (Reporting by Alison Leung; editing by Jonathan Hopfner)
