TransCore Launches CabLink(TM), Next Generation Satellite-based In-cab Communications, Telematics, and Engine Performance Monitoring Unit

   Optimizes Asset and Fuel Efficiency
PORTLAND, Ore.--(Business Wire)--
TransCore introduces CabLink(TM) 100 percent satellite mobile
terminals with next generation technology for small to mid-sized
carriers and private fleets that need economical options for in-cab
communications and sensor-enabled tracking and monitoring of mobile
assets. The introduction of CabLink showcases a new streamlined design
from the previous Text & Track product, integrates multiple components
into one smaller unit, expands onboard processing capabilities, and
increases engine monitoring functionality.

With fuel costs soaring, pressure to maximize asset utilization
through technology has reached a critical point. Speeding costs about
1/10 of one gallon of fuel for every MPH over 60, while 6 to 10
percent of every trip can be attributed to out-of-route miles.
Likewise, an average of $9,102 per truck per year is spent on idling
(based on 264 days on the road). All these scenarios burn unnecessary
and costly fuel. By deploying telematics devices, fleets can monitor
performance remotely, setting prescribed usage parameters so alarms
are triggered if a vehicle deviates.

"For small fleets struggling to absorb the financial impact of the
fuel increase, there's never been a more crucial time to deploy
systems that are less capital intensive and can have an immediate
return on investment (ROI)," explained David Sward, TransCore's
GlobalWave general manager. "With fuel costs what they are, the ROI
has practically doubled, cutting pay back time almost in half or with
low cost lease-to-own programs the ROI can be virtually immediate."

   About CabLink

CabLink, TransCore's next generation in-cab communications
product, provides a higher level of automated features and
integration, simplifying usage and installation. CabLink features and
benefits include:

-0-
*T
-- Location tracking:
CabLink is a compact 100 percent satellite communications mobile
terminal that polls truck locations and sends/ receives reports
from anywhere in North America, eliminating the need for driver
call-ins and driver checks while allowing a dispatcher to know
where assets are at all times.

-- Engine diagnostics:
The onboard processor plugs into the engine bus J1708,
generating reports for engine fault codes, speeding and idling,
over-revving as well as accurate mileage and state-line
crossings for automated IFTA tax and mileage reporting.

-- Enhanced in-cab driver/dispatcher communications:
CabLink's in-cab two-way messaging includes precise status and
shipment update forms, and free form text messaging between
driver and dispatcher, eliminating check calls. Every morning a
dispatcher can walk in knowing where all trucks are without a
       single phone call.

Reduces communication costs and improves dispatcher
       productivity.

-- Reduce out-of-route miles:
CabLink reduces out-of-route mile problems by providing accurate
trip history with, automated odometer readings, accurate
location reports, and complete breadcrumb trails.

-- Advanced geofencing with automated arrival and departure
    notification
CabLink provides precise, automated arrival and departure data
eliminating driver input error and saving the driver valuable
time. Because of CabLink's advanced geofencing, it can report
on hundreds of waypoints. Dispatchers will get accurate,
detailed location information, which can be accessed by
shippers or brokers at anytime. This allows for quick and easy
       detention billing.

-- Custom configurations with stop and start notification save on
    airtime:
CabLink's flexible report configurations significantly lower
airtime costs with stop and start event reports and reduce
reporting when trucks are parked. In addition, the complete
CabLink solution will help monitor and maximize fleet
performance and help recover misplaced or stolen equipment
       quickly, reducing insurance costs.

-- Easy installation
The low-profile CabLink terminal sits inconspicuously on top of
the cab, or invisibly in the headliner, and can be kept out of
       sight.

-- Seamless software integration with major dispatch software
    programs.
