Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America Notified of GalleryPlayer, Inc.'s
Decision to End Support of the GalleryPlayer Art and Photography Service

IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Mitsubishi Digital Electronics
America, Inc. has been informed by GalleryPlayer, Inc. that GalleryPlayer will
no longer provide the service that enables owners of certain models of
televisions to download and display art and photographic imagery on their flat
panel HDTVs. Accordingly, while owners can continue to view their own
photographs on their televisions, that portion of the GalleryPlayer feature
which was designed to allow access to the GalleryPlayer on-line library of
images will not function as advertised.
In April of this year, MDEA announced its 2008 line of Premium, LCD Flat
Panel TVs would feature GalleryPlayer software. That software was designed to
allow purchasers to both view their own photographs on their televisions as
well as to download additional pictures from the Gallery Player website. Due
to Gallery Player's suspension of this service, owners will no longer have
access to Gallery Player's library of images. The specific Mitsubishi HDTV
model numbers incorporating the feature include: LT-40148, LT-46148, LT-52148,
LT-46149, LT-52149, Diamond LT-46246, and Diamond LT-52246.
"As a consequence of GalleryPlayer Inc.'s decision to cease their art and
photography download service, the GalleryPlayer function may no longer operate
as advertised in our 148, 149, and 246 series of Premium LCD Flat Panel TVs,"
said Frank DeMartin, vice president, marketing, at Mitsubishi Digital
Electronics America. "Although the GalleryPlayer feature was a nice addition
to our flat panel line-up for this year, we are confident that our consumers
will fully enjoy the many advanced features and superior quality performance
of our Ultra Thin Frame(TM) Premium Flat Panel TVs."
The USB input on all Mitsubishi Premium LCD Flat Panel TVs remains fully
functional, and consumers can continue to use this input to display personal
photographs on-screen.
MDEA regrets any inconvenience to its customers that may result from
GalleryPlayer, Inc.'s decision to discontinue the service.
