Elections Canada: Advance Voting Begins Friday

  OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Aug 27 (MARKET WIRE) -- 
- Advance voting for the federal by-elections in Guelph (Ontario),
Saint-Lambert (Quebec) and Westmount-Ville-Marie (Quebec) begins Friday,
August 29, and continues Saturday, August 30, and Monday, September 1.

    - Advance polls in Guelph, Saint-Lambert and Westmount-Ville-Marie are
open from noon to 8:00 p.m. (local time).

    - Electors in Guelph, Saint-Lambert and Westmount-Ville-Marie can find
the address of their advance poll location on the back of the voter
information card mailed to them by Elections Canada.

    - Electors in Guelph, Saint-Lambert and Westmount-Ville-Marie who did not
receive a voter information card or who received one with incorrect
information may contact their local Elections Canada office or use the
automated Voter Information Service, available at any time by calling
1-800-463-6868.

    "It's simple and easy to vote on any one of three advance voting days,"
says Chief Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand. "It takes most voters only a
few minutes to cast their ballot. If you are not already on the list of
electors, you may register to vote at your advance polling station,
provided you bring valid identification."
