OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Aug 27 (MARKET WIRE) --
- Elections Canada has mailed over 80 175 personalized voter information
cards to electors in Don Valley West (Ontario) who are on the lists of
electors.
- An elector in Don Valley West who does not receive a voter information
card by September 3, or who receives a card with incorrect information,
should contact his or her local Elections Canada office no later than
6:00 p.m. (local time) on Tuesday, September 16.
- Electors in Don Valley West who receive a card for a deceased person or
someone unknown at that address should also contact their local Elections
Canada office.
"The voter information card provides electors with the address and hours
of their polling station and how to contact Elections Canada," says Chief
Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand. "Electors need to remember that the card
provides information and is not an identification document."
Elections Canada is an independent body set up by Parliament.
