ATLANTA, Aug. 27, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Marsh Communications LLC, a financial
services communications and investor relations firm, announced that it has begun
new communications partnerships with Newnan Coweta Bancshares Inc., the holding
company of Neighborhood Community Bank in Newnan, Ga., and Cherokee Banking
Company, the holding company of Cherokee Bank, headquartered in Canton, Ga.
Marsh Communications will provide investor and public relations counsel and
communications services to both institutions.
"We look forward to building long-lasting relationships with Neighborhood
Community Bank and Cherokee Bank, as we assist them in meeting all of their
communications needs," said John Marsh, president of Marsh Communications LLC.
"In this environment, it is critical that banks communicate well with their
stakeholders -- their shareholders, customers, employees and the communities
they serve," Marsh continued. "With frequent media stories about current and
potential bank failures, anxious depositors and suffering shareholders, it is
vitally important that stable banks reassure constituents of their long-term
safety and soundness. Allowing the market to frame the story for them is a
mistake that too many banks are making right now."
