Premier Technology, Inc. and the Center for Advanced Energy Studies Announce
Partnership
Organizations to Advance Energy Security for Nation and Address Workforce and
Technology Development Issues

BLACKFOOT, Idaho, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Premier Technology, a leading
manufacturer and industrial contractor in Idaho, the U.S. and abroad,
announced today it has formed a strategic partnership with the Center for
Advanced Energy Studies (CAES).
CAES, based in Idaho Falls, is a public/private partnership comprised of
Idaho's three public universities, private industry, and the Idaho National
Laboratory (INL). Premier and CAES made the announcement after CAES staff
concluded a tour of Premier's Blackfoot, Idaho facility.
Under terms of the partnership, Premier Technology and CAES will work
collaboratively to enhance the effectiveness of both organizations in
advancing technology-based workforce and economic development in Idaho.
Specifically, the partners will:
-- Share non-proprietary information to ensure consistent and clear
       communication;
    -- Identify areas of mutual interest for study and development;
-- Leverage collective capabilities for mutual benefit; and
-- Cooperate in the pursuit of external grants whenever appropriate.

To further demonstrate its commitment to CAES and economic development in
Idaho, Premier also announced it will donate a glovebox worth $60,000 that the
Center will use for handling radiological materials during research projects.
The glovebox, manufactured by Premier at its Blackfoot, Idaho facility,
provides the highest standard of shielding in the industry.
Douglas Sayer, Premier Technology president, said, "Much of the work at
Premier complements the mission of CAES. Establishing this partnership will
help the Center create a core scientific capability that can be applied toward
the world's energy challenges."
"Our partnership also reinforces Idaho's strong commitment to revitalizing
energy and science education in the U.S., and helps address the shortage of
college students entering the field of energy research such as nuclear. The
Center also helps Idaho become a major economic driver in the energy
industry," added Sayer.
Sayer noted that Premier Technology staff will work directly with
CAES-affiliated faculty, researchers and students drawn from CAES member
institutions to provide design, engineering and fabrication resources. CAES
members are also expected to visit Premier's Idaho operations in Blackfoot,
Pocatello and Twin Falls.
Harold S. Blackman, CAES Director, said, "We are enthusiastic about the
opportunity to work with Premier Technology and its talented workforce. This
partnership will help advance the pace at which the Center can transform
research into action. We expect Premier's technical staff to work exceedingly
well with the Center, the INL and its partner universities."
    Broad Spectrum of Research
CAES traces its roots back to 2005 when the partnership was established
between the Idaho National Laboratory, Boise State University, Idaho State
University, and the University of Idaho.
This fall, CAES will open a new 55,000 square-foot, $17 million research
facility in Idaho Falls. In the new facility, CAES will promote a broad
spectrum of energy research that includes fossil, renewable and alternative
energy sources, as well as environmental stewardship and a focus on the
national renaissance of commercial nuclear power.
The partnership with Premier supports CAES objectives to promote
sustainable energy solutions while preparing a new source of trained
scientists, engineers and energy professionals. The partnership also promotes
industrial engagement with the state's three public universities in close
proximity to INL's key research activities and resources.
