U.S. Conference of Mayors President Miami Mayor Manny Diaz to Address the
Democratic National Convention: Available for Interviews

    U.S. Conference of Mayors President Miami Mayor Manuel (Manny) A. Diaz
will address the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, August 27th at 5
p.m. MST.
    Mayor Diaz will be featured in a special segment titled "Securing
America's Future" prior to Senator Biden's headline address. Mayor Diaz is a
registered Independent and has not endorsed either candidate.  As the 66th
President of The U.S. Conference of Mayors, Diaz is the second Hispanic mayor
and the first person from Florida in more than 40 years to lead the bi-
partisan mayors' organization.
    Mayor Diaz will be available for interviews following his speech by
