Showtime's 'voice of boxing' brings luster to new channel

FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- iBN Sports, a premier
Internet-based broadcast sports television network has officially launched the
Al Bernstein Boxing Channel (ABBC) over its iBN Sports network. The boxing
channel is the collaboration between Al Bernstein and iBN Sports to create
original programming exclusive to the world of boxing. Hosted by popular
boxing analyst and commentator Al Bernstein, the channel covers boxing in
greater depth, reporting from all the major fights, up close and personal
interviews with the key figures in the sport, as well as highlights and boxing
action throughout the boxing world. Fans of boxing can tune into iBN Sports
and watch the ABBC over the Internet at http://www.ibnsports.com for both Live
and ON-Demand coverage.
"The iBN Sports team is truly excited by this partnership with Al
Bernstein," said John Mudge, Co-Founder of iBN Sports. "His passion and desire
to elevate the sport and to bring it to the fans in a new and exciting way is
evident. Al's vision for this channel and the power of internet TV that iBN
Sports can bring to the partnership will make a major impact on boxing and
boxing fans. It is a pleasure to work with a professional who has keen
knowledge and insight about the sport, is well respected in the industry, and
shares our drive and desire to provide more to the sports fans. We look
forward to working closely with Al to build the Al Bernstein Boxing Channel
into the premier source for boxing on the internet," said Mudge.
"I am very pleased with the way the channel has been launched, and equally
pleased with the programming content we already have posted," said Bernstein.
"Our fight coverage gives fans a chance to see video coverage of fights that
are not being covered on television as they should be. Along with that, we
offer interviews with major boxing personalities and others in the world of
sports and entertainment, as well as commentaries and features. Very shortly
we will be adding excellent boxing action as well. Our goal is to provide
boxing fans with the first comprehensive boxing channel, and that is exactly
what we are doing. I am very fortunate because I get to participate on great
boxing television shows at the Showtime Networks, and now I get to contribute
to the sport of boxing and its fans with this channel. This will be a fun
journey for all of us who love the sport of boxing," concluded Bernstein.
