BELLEVUE, Wash.--(Business Wire)--
Talyst, a leader in pharmacy automation, has named Carla Corkern
to the position of Chief Executive Officer. She has been with the
company for two years, serving as Chief Operating Officer, then
Interim Chief Executive Officer. She also serves on Talyst's Board of
Directors.

"As an executive who has built highly successful technology
companies, Carla is ideally positioned to advance Talyst's growth
path," explained Elliot Hayes, of AIG Investments and Talyst board
chairman. "She has already led many of the company's largest ongoing
initiatives, aimed at refining our delivery and service processes for
acute-care and launching into new growth markets."

"Supporting our pharmacy and hospital administration users is our
highest priority, and one for which the market potential remains
strong," Corkern noted. "We are proud of our leadership position in
the category, providing more installations of pharmacy automation
systems and equipment than any major competitor last year. Our
continued investment in customer support, research and development
speaks to the potential we see for the category. And increasingly, our
hospital customers are seeking to take the advantages of our
technology into other care environments where they provide
medications."

   Experience

As COO at Talyst, Corkern managed the day-to-day operations of the
company, including the functions of software development, production,
installation, systems integration, customer training, field service
and customer support. She was appointed Interim CEO in May of this
year.

Corkern has more than 18 years of experience in high technology
and supply chain management. Before joining Talyst, she served as
chief operations officer at Vykor, Inc., a leading company in the
management of the aerospace supply chain. She contributed to a plan
that raised $28 million in venture capital funding and managed the
company's software development, customer support, training and
professional services. Prior to that, she served as a general manager
for Netegrity's portal business and focused on integrating DataChannel
into Netegrity.
