PITTSBURGH, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- When Lt. Colonel Oliver
North speaks at Christ Church at Grove Farm on Saturday evening September 6,
he will address a sold out audience. Because every ticket to the event was
sold the church will provide a free video simulcast in Wilson Hall which is
adjacent to the church sanctuary. Area residents who are unable to obtain
tickets will be welcome to view the speech on a large video screen in the
Hall. He will also speak at Christ Church's regular Sunday services at 9:00
AM and 11:00 AM the following morning.
Col. North will be here as part of the Church's commemoration of the
September 11, 2001 attacks in New York, Washington, and Somerset County and
their ongoing efforts as a congregation to honor members of the Armed Forces.
He will talk about the fight against radical Islam, which, he says, is being
waged right now in Afghanistan, Iraq, the Persian Gulf and even in the jungles
of the Philippines.
Col. North is the author of the current best seller "American Heroes In
the Fight Against Radical Islam." He is a combat decorated marine, a
syndicated columnist, and the host of "War Stories" of the Fox News Channel.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, he served 22 years as a marine.
He was assigned to the National Security Council and was the nation's counter
terrorism coordinator for 3 years. He says, however, his most important
accomplishment is to be "a husband of one, the father of four, and the
grandfather of eleven."
Col. North will autograph copies of his book at the conclusion of his
appearance on Sept 6 and after both services on Sept. 7
