AT&T Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of the Magic Quadrant for U.S.
Wireless Service Providers
DALLAS, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) today
announced that leading industry analyst firm Gartner Inc. has positioned AT&T
in the Leaders Quadrant of its "Magic Quadrant for U.S. Wireless Service
Providers, 2008" report.(1)
According to Gartner, "this Magic Quadrant assesses suppliers of
cellular-based wireless and mobile enterprise voice and data networking
solutions in the U.S. This includes cellular voice, low and high speed data
services (provided over wide-area cellular networks) and remote-access
services. Enterprises typically purchased these services in two- to three-year
contracts that include equipment, networking services and day-to-day
operational support."
"In our opinion, AT&T's position in the Leaders Quadrant of the U.S.
Wireless Service Providers report published by Gartner is testament to AT&T's
leadership in this space, as more than 71.4 million customers across the
United States rely on our wireless voice and data services," said Ralph de la
Vega, president and CEO, AT&T Mobility.
