Dreyfus High Yield Strategies Fund Declares Dividend

NEW YORK--(Business Wire)--
On August 27, 2008, the Board of Trustees of Dreyfus High Yield
Strategies Fund (NYSE: DHF) declared from net investment income a
monthly cash dividend of $0.03 per share of beneficial interest,
payable on September 25, 2008 to shareholders of record at the close
of business on September 11, 2008. The ex-dividend date is September
9, 2008. The previous dividend declared in July was $0.03 per share of
beneficial interest.
