President, but are Split by Age and Income on Which Candidate Best Represents
Their Views
    Most Americans say that healthcare issues will be very important in
determining which presidential candidate will get their vote, according to new
T-N-S Healthcare research. Healthcare concerns are particularly important to
voters sixty-five or older, with seventy-five-percent indicating health issues
will play a major role in their presidential choice. Even among the youngest
voters -- those eighteen to twenty-nine -- fifty-nine-percent give very high
importance to health topics.

    Survey Shows Shoppers Won't Compromise on Food Quality Despite Economic
Times
    Whole Foods Market announced results from a recent survey that found,
despite rising food prices, nearly eighty percent of U-S adults say they do
not want to compromise on the quality of the food they buy and the majority is
continuing to buy the same amount of natural and/or organic foods as they
always have. The survey also found two in three adults prefer to buy natural
and/or organic foods to conventional foods if prices are comparable, and they
would like to find ways to be able to buy these foods within their budget.
Surprisingly, the survey results were similar across geographic locations,
despite the varying regional impact of the housing slump and economic
downturn.

    Federal 'Green Government' Initiatives Gaining Momentum According to Study
    Government Business Council released results of an exclusive survey
conducted to gauge the current state of "green government" initiatives within
the federal government. G-B-C surveyed federal managers regarding the level of
priority given to green initiatives within federal agencies, the challenges
facing federal program managers in implementing green initiatives, and the
extent to which federal employees individually adopt environmentally-friendly
practices. Survey participants were selected randomly from Government
Executive magazine's subscriber base of federal decision-makers. The survey
was completed by one-hundred-ninety-seven managers from across the entire
federal government and representing all functional areas. Of the survey
respondents, eighty-four-percent hold grade level G-S-twelve or above and
eighty-two-percent have served in the federal government for at least eleven
years.
